Under 5 years old

We have designed a standard tour that takes about 90 minutes. It consists of an initial and general explanation of amphibian diversity (colors, shapes, sizes, songs) in a didactic and playful language.

They will also learn about the types of insect feeding and those who wish can feed the frogs of Quito and observe how Ecuador’s largest toads eat.

They will observe the different stages of metamorphosis and also listen to the songs of the frogs of Quito.

Afterward, the children will enter in small groups into one of the frog handling and breeding laboratories to listen to the different songs, see the colors of the frogs of some species, see the difference between diurnal and nocturnal frogs, and observe the beating heart of the transparent frogs. This laboratory houses about 20 species of Ecuadorian amphibians.

Also for this group, we have specialized tours that fit your planning requirements and have activities related to your subjects such as art, gastronomy, social and natural sciences, among others.

Admission is free for teachers or accompanying members of the group.
